Move Forward From an Unwanted Tattoo

BareWolf® is preparing to introduce professional laser tattoo removal using the Fotona QX MAX. Whether your goal is significant fading, preparation for a cover-up or the best achievable removal, the process will begin with a proper consultation and realistic expectations.

Treatments will commence only after our team has completed the required device-specific training and BareWolf’s treatment and safety protocols are in place. You can register your interest now to receive launch updates and priority consultation access.

How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

Laser energy targets pigment within tattoo ink, breaking it into smaller particles that the body gradually processes over time.

Because tattoo ink may sit at different depths and contain multiple pigments, removal is progressive rather than immediate. Several treatments are usually required, with sufficient healing time between sessions.

THE BAREWOLF STANDARD

Our Technology

Technology matters—but it is only one part of responsible tattoo removal. Tattoo composition, skin type, treatment settings, therapist training, preparation and aftercare can all affect safety and results.

Fotona QX MAX

BareWolf has invested in the Fotona QX MAX—a premium, multi-wavelength Q-switched laser platform designed for tattoo and pigment treatments.

The QX MAX offers four specialised wavelengths within one system:

Having multiple wavelengths allows the therapist to select technology suited to different tattoo pigments rather than approaching every colour in the same way.

Its high-energy nanosecond pulses target tattoo pigment in extremely short bursts. The system’s OPTOflex® delivery arm, uniform beam technology and Energy Feedback Control are designed to support precise and consistent energy delivery.

Why Every Tattoo Responds Differently

The way a tattoo responds can depend on:

Its size, age and location

Previous removal attempts or cover-up work

The amount and depth of ink

Your skin tone and individual response

Whether it was professionally or amateur applied

Your health, medications and healing history

The colours and pigments used

Sun exposure before and after treatment

Some tattoos fade considerably, while others may retain visible pigment or respond unevenly. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

Your Consultation and Treatment Plan

Before treatment, your therapist will assess the tattoo, your skin and your relevant medical history. We will discuss:

Your goal—fading, cover-up preparation or removal

The tattoo’s colours, density, age and placement

Your skin type and risk of pigment changes

Relevant health conditions, medications and previous reactions

The likely treatment process and spacing between sessions

Expected discomfort, recovery and aftercare

Possible risks and limitations

Whether a patch test is appropriate

You will receive an individual plan rather than a one-size-fits-all session promise.

YOUR TREATMENT

What Treatment May Feel Like

Clients commonly describe the sensation as a series of quick snaps against the skin. Comfort varies according to the tattoo’s size, location and density, as well as individual sensitivity.

Appropriate protective eyewear must be worn throughout laser treatment.

After Treatment

Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness, whitening or changes to the appearance of the treated tattoo may occur. Your therapist will explain what is expected and provide aftercare instructions appropriate to your treatment.

You may be advised to:

Possible Risks

Laser tattoo removal carries risks. These may include blistering, burns, infection, scarring, temporary or permanent changes in pigmentation, incomplete removal and an unexpected response from particular inks.

Risks can vary with skin tone, tattoo pigment, treatment settings, sun exposure and individual healing. These will be discussed during your consultation before you decide whether to proceed.

Timing Between Treatments

Your skin and body need time to recover and process disrupted pigment. Treatment intervals are determined individually and may change as the tattoo responds.

Rushing the process does not necessarily produce a better result and may increase the risk of unwanted skin reactions.

Beyond Tattoo Removal

The Fotona QX MAX platform can also support treatments for pigmented concerns, selected vascular concerns, FRAC3® non-ablative skin treatments, skin rejuvenation, acne and acne-related concerns, and permanent hair reduction.

The treatments BareWolf introduces will depend on team training, individual suitability, established treatment protocols and availability at each clinic. A device capability does not mean every treatment is currently offered.

The BareWolf Standard

Professional assessment. Device-specific training. Carefully selected settings. Clear aftercare. Honest expectations.

We will not promise that a tattoo will disappear within a fixed number of sessions. We will assess its progress and adjust the treatment plan responsibly.
