Professional Light Therapy to Support Your SkiN
LED Facial for Men
LED phototherapy uses selected wavelengths of visible light to support specific skin processes.
BareWolf® may recommend LED as a standalone treatment or as part of another professionally selected skin protocol. The colour, duration and treatment schedule are chosen according to your skin concern and suitability.
LED is non-invasive and does not intentionally break the skin, but it remains a professional light-based treatment requiring assessment and appropriate eye protection.
led rejuvenate
Red Light Therapy
Red LED is commonly used to support skin recovery and improve the appearance of tired, ageing or stressed skin.
It may be recommended for:
- Dull or tired-looking skin
- General skin recovery
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Skin-quality maintenance
- Selected redness or sensitivity concerns
- Supporting recovery following an appropriate skin treatment
Red light is used to influence cellular processes associated with repair and collagen support. Results develop progressively and vary between clients.
how led phototherapy works
Used to support repair processes, collagen activity and general skin rejuvenation.
led acne
Blue Light Therapy
Blue LED is used as part of selected acne-management protocols. It targets acne-associated bacteria close to the skin’s surface and may help support clearer-looking skin.
It may be recommended for:
- Mild-to-moderate acne-prone skin
- Active surface breakouts
- Excess oil associated with breakouts
- Shaving-related blemishes
- Supporting a broader congestion or acne-management plan
LED does not replace medical assessment or treatment for severe, painful, cystic or persistent acne. Where appropriate, BareWolf may recommend that you speak with a doctor or dermatologist.
how led phototherapy works
Used to target acne-associated surface bacteria and support selected breakout-management protocols.
Different wavelengths of light interact with the skin in different ways.
Your therapist selects the appropriate colour and treatment time according to your skin and the objective of the appointment.
your treatment journey
What Happens During Treatment?
01
skin assessment
Your therapist reviews your skin concern, medications, medical history and suitability for light-based treatment.
02
preparation
The skin is cleansed and prepared. Products that could interfere with the treatment are removed.
03
eye protection
Appropriate protective eyewear is fitted before the LED device is activated.
04
led treatment
The professional LED panel is positioned over the treatment area for the prescribed time. You will see bright light through the protective eyewear and may notice gentle warmth.
05
finishing & advice
Your therapist checks the skin, applies appropriate finishing products where required and explains any relevant aftercare.
YOUR TREATMENT
What Does It Feel Like?
LED treatment is generally comfortable. Most clients experience bright light and mild warmth but no cutting, needling or intentional injury to the skin.
Individual sensitivity varies. Tell your therapist immediately if you feel uncomfortable or experience an unexpected sensation.
LED as a Standalone Treatment
Standalone LED may be selected for men wanting:
- A gentle professional skin treatment
- Support for acne-prone skin
- General skin rejuvenation
- Skin maintenance with minimal expected recovery
- A treatment option when exfoliation is not required
Your therapist will explain whether an individual session or course is appropriate. A fixed treatment schedule is not suitable for every concern.
LED Combined With Other Treatments
LED may be incorporated following treatments such as:
- HydraFacial
- Aqua Facial
- Beard Facial
- Microdermabrasion
- Skin Needling
- Other selected skin protocols
Combination treatment is recommended only when the LED wavelength and timing are appropriate for the procedure performed and your skin’s condition.
Results and Treatment Frequency
LED results are progressive and depend on:
- The skin concern being treated
- The wavelength and protocol selected
- Treatment frequency
- Other treatments or skincare being used
- Medical and lifestyle factors
- Individual response
- Certain active skin conditions
- Recent procedures that have not fully healed
- A medical condition or implanted device that affects suitability
- Medication that creates a contraindication
- A history requiring further medical clearance
Some men use LED occasionally, while others complete a recommended course. Your therapist will assess progress and adjust the plan rather than guaranteeing improvement after a set number of sessions.
When LED May Not Be Suitable
LED treatment may need to be postponed or avoided if you:
- Have a condition that causes sensitivity to light
- Take medication or supplements that increase photosensitivity
- Have experienced light-triggered seizures
- Have an active skin infection
- Have a concerning or undiagnosed skin lesion
- Have an eye condition requiring medical clearance
- Have recently experienced an unexpected reaction to a light-based treatment
- Have another contraindication identified during consultation
Tell BareWolf about all medications, supplements, medical conditions and changes to your health before treatment. Do not stop prescribed medication without speaking to the healthcare professional who prescribed it.
Before Your Appointment
- Arrive with clean skin where possible.
- Tell us about medications, supplements and medical changes.
- Tell us if you are sensitive to light or flashing lights.
- Tell us about recent skin reactions or light-based treatments.
- Do not apply products your therapist has asked you to avoid.
After Your Appointment
LED alone usually requires limited aftercare. Your therapist will provide instructions based on your skin and any treatment it was combined with.
If LED follows another procedure, follow the aftercare for that primary treatment.
Contact BareWolf if you experience an unexpected or worsening reaction.
